I AM HAPPY RACING IN THE UK, SAYS HASLAM

HM Plant Honda's Leon Haslam has said he is happy racing in the UK and that comments made about him looking for a ride in America were taken out of context.
Haslam, who is curently lying fourth in the British Superbike championship, has taken great pains to point out that at no time has he spoken to anyone in America about a ride, nor is he unhappy with the setup he has in the UK.
"I am happy here and I am happy with Honda. Of course, I would like to go to World Superbikes, but that would be with Honda, not anyone else," he said.
"What was said about America was taken out of context and I just want to set the record straight. I have a lot to look forward to in the UK for the rest of the season. We have got some work to do, but so has everyone.
"We are going to do the two WSB rounds [Donington and Portugal], which I am really looking forward to but the main focus has to stay on BSB."
After the Oulton Park round, Haslam is due to fly out to Japan for the Suzuka Eight-Hours, which will be his first taste of the event but a clash of dates means he won't get the testing time he really wanted.
"Unfortunately, my team is testing the same weekend as Oulton so I can't go. However, I think we are having some Dunlops flown out from this country the same as Johnny Rea did and he went more than a second faster in testing, so that will be good."
Cal Crutchlow, Haslam's team-mate, is currently in Japan and will begin testing for his Honda team tomorrow.
