Josh Waters has had an eventful couple of weeks, which saw him leaving the Milwaukee Yamaha garage, going to Le Mans and then ended up with Halsall Racing in the MCE British Superbike championship. But with one round still remaining, the Aussie is already thinking ahead to next season, and wants to be back in BSB next year.
Waters who made his rookie appearance in 2013 on UK shores has really enjoyed his time in series and does not want to give up on his dream just yet, and is determined to make his time in Britain a success.
“I really want to come back to BSB next year and I think maybe if I come back I will be more comfortable as I will have the track knowledge this time. If I went back home it would be different now, as I spent 25 years in the same town so it has been great to do something different,” said Waters, speaking to bikesportnews.com.
“It is great being back in BSB with Halsall and I am grateful that I had the opportunity to race with the team and I am improving all the time and is a definitely a learning curve for me.
“I am really happy to finish off the year in BSB as I could not give up on it. I went to Le Mans which was better than sitting at home watching Assen and it was good for me to do it.
“I have really enjoyed it in the UK, even the weather and I am not going to give up on it. I will keep trying hard. The support I have had has been unbelievable and I really appreciate it all.”
