KNOCKHILL BSB: SEELEY CONTINUES STRAIGHT WIN RECORD

Relentless Suzuki’s Alastair Seeley continues with record of straight wins by taking his sixth in the first of two races at Knockill this weekend in the Metzeler National Superstock 100 Championship.
Seeley led into the first corner with pole position rider Steve Brogan of Padgetts Motorcycles hot on his tail.  It looked set to be a usual duo battle until Brogan had a huge tank slapper which let Seeley pull away to eventually will by 4.5s.
As the race continued the battle for second was between Brogan and teammate John McGuinness who swapped places several times throughout the race, but it was  Brogan that was ahead as they crossed the chequered flag.  The fun began on lap 12 when they started to hit back markers.
Front row starter Richard Cooper of Team Co-Ordit fell looked to be struggling and fell slightly down the order to fifth after Luke Quigley of Astro Racing Honda made the most of his sixth place qualifying.
Quigley was originally battled further down the grid with James Hillier of Buildbase Bournemouth Kawasaki who eventually lost out on a few more places to finish just inside the top in ninth place.
It was a successful ride for both Bob Grant of Grant Racing who finished in seventh place after starting 15th on the grid and Alex Gault of Astro Racing Kawasaki who started from 14th to finish slightly behind in eight place.
Non finishers included Richard Fogg of Ital Sports, Grant Molloy of Quattro Plant Honda and final front row starter Scott Smart of Moto Rapido Ducati who’s bad luck continued after crashing also in morning warm up.
