Taboo Motorport's Michael Hill reckons he was happy to be back in the points at Knockhill's 125GP round after a disappointing outing at Snetterton's previous round.
Team-mate Tom Weeden didn't have such a good weekend, getting involved in a third-lap crash at the hairpin when he couldn't avoid the stricken Ross Walker.
“I am so relieved to be back in the points after Snetterton. The bike was as good as we could get it and I can’t thank Pete Banks and Steve Kinghorn for working so hard to give me a competitive machine," said Hill.
"It’s good to see that the FRS (7C) kit that we are running is competitive and I am confident of a strong second half of the season as we have some parts being flown out from Japan which should help us. The race was really enjoyable, it’s a shame to make a mistake at the final turn but that’s racing and I am learning all the time.
"The objective this year was to be a regular points scorer and to achieve a top 6 and we have done that already. My own personal target is to keep pushing hard and who knows we may see TABOO Motorsport on the podium before the end of the season.
"I am disappointed that Tom crashed after his strong start but pleased that he is ok. I am confident that we will both have a strong showing at Mallory Park.”
