OULTON BSB: CAMIER STROLLS TO DOUBLE VICTORY

Airwaves Yamaha's Leon Camier cruised to the win in this afternoon's second British Superbike race at Oulton Park, adding to his victory earlier on today in the opening leg.

Camier made it a clean sweep, adding the wins to his pole position set yesterday, crossing the line more than seven seconds in front of double podium man Karl Harris.

nce again, it was the Hydrex Hondas of Stuart Easton and Harris that led the way with a mercurial Simon Andrews slotting into third with Glen Richards in fourth and Camier fifth.

Harris stuck a pass on Easton to take the lead but the Scotsman was back past a lap later as Camier made his way past Andrews. Disaster struck Easton, though, coming out of Druids as his Fireblade broke down.

On lap three, Camier went past Harris into Lodge and that was the last anyone saw of him, consistently lapping quicker than anyone else to take the win with Harris a clear second place.

The scrap was on first third place as Andrews and Richards banged fairings. The Aussie tried to pass Andrews' MSS Colchester Kawasaki and eventually managed but Evesham's Andrews put a hard move on Richards through Cascades to take back the podium spot.

Eventually, Richards made it through and was quickly followed by James Ellison on the other Airwaves Yamaha. Andrews faded back to eighth after his quickshifter broke and he had to make do with using four gears.

As Ellison and Richards tied each other up, Worx Suzuki's Sylvain Guintoli made his way up to them after a terrible start, passing Richards into Island and then going after Ellison.

With five laps left, Josh Brookes was forced into the pits with a misfiring HM Plant Honda as Guintoli tried to pass Ellison into Island but the Kendal man held the line and defended into Shell.

One lap later, the Frenchman made a successful pass for third while Richards waited to pick up the pieces should a collision occur. Fortunately, it didn't and Guintoli took the last podium spot.

Once again, Quay Garage Honda's Gary Mason stood on top of the Superbike Cup podium and it doesn't look like anyone is going to be catching him this year.
