Mar-Train Yamaha's Stuart Easton took his fourth victory in four finishes this afternoon at Oulton Park but it wasn't without difficulties, with the mini haggis saying he was pushed hard by his title rival Alastair Seeley right to the last corner.
The former Superbike rider still feels there's more to come from him this weekend, believing he can still go faster after some changes to his Yamaha R6 this evening.
"It was a tough one today. I felt like I was the strongest in the race. I probably did have a few weak areas though, one was the last corner where Alastair passed me a few times. In the end it all boiled down to the last lap and I went in the middle of the road. I tried not to back it in because that's what I was struggling with all race long, it was too loose on entry. He came around the outside, but inside always wins. You're never going to go all the way around the outside. Another win, that's four now. I've got it all to do tomorrow though, so we'll make some changes and hopefully we can go faster," said Easton, speaking to bikesportnews.com from the Cheshire circuit.
"I expected the move because I was very defensive. You've just got to take it as it comes, but it worked out well in the end. We'll change our second gear corner entries because that's where I struggled today. We've got warm-up to try it, the weather looks like it'll be fine so hopefully we'll be a bit stronger tomorrow. I'm never overconfident but I'm confident we can get another double. We'll just have to see what happens though, you can never plan anything in Supersport as we've seen all season."
