HM Plant Honda's Josh Brookes has said his trackday time at Oulton Park today has been useful despite mixed conditions and having to cope with a standard Fireblade's ABS system.
The likeable Aussie lapped on a standard Blade and then on Ben Padgett's Superstock 600 fitted with wets to get more of a feel for the Cheshire circuit ahead of the British Superbike finale.
"It's always good to do some laps on a track and it doesn't matter if it's wet or dry. I got some drying session in on the Blade and rode the 600 on wets, so that's all useful," said Brookes, speaking to bikesportnews.com this evening.
"The ABS doesn't work on a track but it would be great on the road. In the last session on the Blade, it was still slippery at Lodge and Druids but track time is always good, so it has been positive."
