Palmer buoyed by Donington test after 'rough patch'

GBmoto Honda's Tristan Palmer spent yesterday at Donington Park's official MCE British Superbike test getting over the rough patch he hit last time out at Brands Hatch where he had two non-scores.

The former Superstock front-runner was working on a base setup for the Leicestershire track when BSB returns there in a month's time and seemed happy with what he achieved.

"We were really aiming to get comfortable on the bike again after a rough patch at Brands Hatch. I really wanted to work on a base setting for the suspension and gearing so we’re right on it when we come back here for the race weekend," said Palmer.

"I’m really pleased with how it’s turned out – we’ve been going progressively quicker and I managed to stay in one piece. I’ve enjoyed having the time on the bike and it’s been a good confidence booster for the rest of the season.”
