Motorpoint Honda's Taylor Mackenzie took the win in the Relentless British 125GP Cup championship and finished fourth overall at Silverstone this weekend duplicating his success at Donington Park earlier in the season.
Mackenzie had constantly been running in the top ten in every session throughout the weekend, taking eighth at the end of the second qualifying session. Grinning from ear to ear Mackenzie said: “I am very happy, it was a tough race and there was a lot of hard passing. I went backwards at the start, back to tenth.
“People were passing me and I made a couple of mistakes but I just fought my way forward again and ended up in fourth. Throughout the year we have got the bike better and better, a big thanks to Bob Grant, he’s just had it working a lot better for us.”
Mackenzie currently sits fourth in the Cup championship and he went to Silverstone eight points behind third place rider Deane Brown, now it's just a mere three. Brown is now on the same points as previous second place rider Adam Blacklock who may not be able to defend his position after unfortunately crashing and breaking his ankle over the weekend.
