Tom Tunstall - Hardinge Doodson Team (Q=17th, R1=17th, R2=16th)
“I made a mistake early on and with the pace being so close it was difficult to close the guys down. By mid race I was really struggling with the front tyre. It was shot and was difficult to balance between pushing on to catch the guys ahead without going too hard and crashing.  It was good to be so close but frustrating not having the tyre left to sustain my race pace, especially as we’ve used the compound all weekend”.
“I didn’t have quite as much confidence in the front and combined with getting held up behind Jessop meant I couldn’t fight for a higher position in race two. But it’s great to be back on the podium again and I think we certainly deserved it as we’ve performed well and had a strong pace all weekend.  Hopefully we can keep the momentum through to the final round at Oulton Park and pick up some more trophies there.”

“As far as I could see I thought the lights actually dimmed and also the lights over the past couple of meetings have gone out within a couple of seconds, but they seem to hold them a bit longer this time.  I was a bit over eager as well, wanting to make up for the bad starts I have had previously.”
Allan Jon Venter – MAP Raceways Yamaha (Q=9th, R=DNF)
“My start was not too bad, I made up some places in the first couple of corners but then the bike kept cutting out, I just couldn’t ride it as every time I opened the throttle it would happen.  It is a shame as I had the pace, we had a good qualifying and a really good chance of a strong result.  I am speechless really but I feel sad for my mechanics and the team because of all their efforts.”
Steve Plater – H M Plant Honda (Q=3rd, R=2nd)
“I realised after qualifying and especially morning warm-up that James Westmoreland was going to be on winning pace and hard to beat so I wasn’t too worried about where he finished.  I was more concerned about myself and Billy (McConnell) as the title race is between us two.”
“It was a good race I followed Billy for a long way and then made my move on him at the chicane with three laps to go.  I tried to get my head down and pull away but Billy was faster in some places and stuck with me, and then we had a bit of a coming together on the last lap but I managed to get second and extend my lead.”
James Webb – Linxcel-Seton Tuning (Q=16th, R=DNF)
“I was feeling really comfortable and I was catching Marty Nutt until I had to retire the bike on lap 12 due to an electrical fault. It was a shame because I really wanted to get a good result to repay the team for the hard work they had put in over the weekend and I’m sure I could have picked off a few more guys to get a top six finish.”

“It gives me good confidence going into the final round at Oulton Park in two weekend’s time. We have a good base setting to work with and I’m looking forward to working with the team again, my parents commented how they have never seen me spend so much time in the pit garage with a team before.”
Daniel Cooper – Centurion Racing (Q=12th, R=8th)
"We've had a couple of problems this weekend and missed a lot of the first session on Friday morning because we had a problem with the bike. We got everything sorted out and then I had one of the biggest crashes I've ever had in my racing career, which knocked the wind out of me. I just wanted to get a good result in the race and bring it home in one piece.”
“I've not had the best of runs over recent rounds and a bit frustrated with myself for not finishing higher up the pack. It was really good to meet some of the Help for Heroes guys and hear their stories; it really makes everything else all very irrelevant. They really are very inspirational people and it was good to hear from them a little bit more about the jobs that they have to do. I just hope at Oulton I can finish the year on a high note and get a good result."
BJ Toal – Centurion Racing (Q=14th, R=11th)
"I'm glad at each race I've managed to improve on my position and finally closing into a top ten finish. We had a small bike problem during qualifying but nothing major at all. I did have to turn off the traction control during the race as I was having a few problems with it and therefore had to ride a smooth race and really enjoyed it. I've finally settled into riding the 600cc again and would really like to finish the year at Oulton with a top ten result."

“I have mixed feelings about the win, but of course I am pleased.  I would have liked to have taken the win myself but it’s good to be up there again.  I had problems in the race as we tried some different tyre pressures and the back end was bouncing every time I was coming out of the corner when trying to get on the power.”
“Through the speed traps, I have been at the top all weekend, but in the race because I couldn’t get on the power, I was 19th.  We tried something in warm up but we used old tyres and we weren’t pushing as hard as you would in the race, but the changes seemed to be ok. It turned out to be the wrong move.  I am delighted to be back on the podium though it has been a while and hopefully I can again at Oulton Park.”
Nikki Coates – MAP Raceways Yamaha (Q=8th, R=3rd)
“I was hoping for a podium and I am pleased with getting third, but I feel I could have got that myself.  I had the pace in the race but halfway through the race I hit the grass, lost concentration for about half a lap and dropped back to fifth. I lost a bit of momentum. It was disappointing as I made some good passes and a podium has been knocking on the door for the last couple of rounds but I will take this third place.”
Cody Nally – MAP Raceways Yamaha (Q=26th, R=18th)
“It went well, I am pleased with what I achieved under the circumstances but my ankle that I hurt yesterday in the crash hurt more and more throughout the race.  I did lose a few places which is a shame, but I am happy enough and hopefully I will do better at Oulton.”
Mike McLean – MAP Raceways Yamaha (Q=15th, R=DNF)
“I am really disappointed I was feeling very confident for the race, the bike has been working really well and I was running at the front.  I don’t know what to say, I just opened up the throttle too early and that was it.”
METZELER NATIONAL SUPERSTOCK 1000
Richard Cooper – Team Co-Ordit (Q=4th, R=10th)
“That was a very busy weekend for myself and the team. Riding Superbike and
Superstock round here is hard work but at the same time it has been very rewarding. We took the opportunity to test the Superbike ahead of Stars at Darley next weekend but our main focus was to close the gap on third place in the Superstock title race. With McGuinness finishing ahead of me it didn’t quite go to plan but it was a great result for the team and an awesome race to be involved in.”
RELENTLESS BRITISH 125GP
Tom Weeden – Taboo Motorsport Junior Team (Q=41st, R=23rd)
“This weekend has easily been the worst round this year for me. I struggled to learn the track in practice one and things just got worse from there on.  I lost hours worth of track time on Saturday and Sunday due to the bike seizing after half a lap in qualifying one and then the crank failed in qualifying two. Dad worked late into Saturday night to find the reason for the seizures, and to get the bike ready for Sunday.”
“We found the problem and we thought the bike would be fine in Warm Up, but unfortunately due to another engine failure, we missed out on even more track time.  I had to start from 41st on the grid and with little track experience and confidence in the bike I wasn’t really looking forward to the race, but to finish 23rd was much better than I thought I’d get. I’ve managed to consolidate my 5th place in the Academy Cup as well. I’d like to say a big thank you to my dad and all sponsors for there support this year so far! Hopefully we can finish the season with a good result at Oulton.”

KTM RC8 CUP
Jonathan Railton – Ducks X Racing (Q=6th, R1=7th, R2=4th)
David Railton, team manager said: “The season has finished on a high with Jon winning his class on Saturday getting to within three points of winning the under 25 Cup class.  Sunday’s additional non-championship race went even better with the Le-Man start where the starting positions were drawn from a hat. Jon drew seventh and made a great start to get up to second overall at one point.”
“He along with James Edmeades, Pauli Pekkanen and Kelvin Reilly broke away from the rest of the pack to cross the line all within three seconds. Jon was pleased to run the pace of the leaders to end the weekend with two strong results making up almost for the disappointment of the previous two races.  Time to get everything sold now to and plan for next year.”
Ritchie Thornton – TA Creative Ltd/P&H Motorcycles (Q=11th, R1=11th,R2=10th)
“In the race on Saturday I got a good start and then got caught up with the leading bikes swapping and changing position, they were literally barging each other out of the way and it messed up my rhythm a bit and I lost a few places. When I came round on the second lap I was back down to 13, but could still see the leaders in front, so I knew my pace was good.  For Sunday’s race we did a Le Mans start and all the names were drawn out of the hat to decide position.”
“I couldn’t believe I was on pole, but when I looked at the list, the faster riders like James Edmeades were also very close.  I knew I had to get away quick to stand any chance of finishing at the front.  I still got out before the others though, and led to Becketts, but I knew that the others were all over the back of me. I was mugged a few times in the early part of the race and it was bit rough at times. I had to concentrate really hard…and watch my back. It was good fun, I really enjoyed it.”
