Samsung Honda's Alex Lowes found a couple of small setup improvements for his Fireblade after 90 laps of testing at Cadwell Park today but wasn't able to make the big step forward he was hoping for.
The Derby-based rider had been hoping to improve his corner entry speed where he says he has been struggling for most of the year but after sharing the track with myriad other riders, he wasn't able to find a solution.
"We made some small improvements, so it was a worthwhile test but there wasn't the big step forward I was hoping for in terms of corner entry but the team have worked hard to try and improve the bike," said Lowes, speaking to bikesportnews.com this evening.
"It will be down to me now to make the difference but I am sure we can move forward some more. Oulton was the hardest weekend of the year for me but I think that the bigger, more sweeping tracks like Assen and Donington will be better for us."
