Airwaves Yamaha's Leon Camier has taken his fourth British Superbike pole position of the season at Snetterton this afternoon after the third part of qualifying was cancelled due to inclement weather.
Superpole two
Leon Camier 1'04.930
James Ellison 1'05.407
Josh Brookes 1'05.445
Camier was the first and only man to go under the 1'04 barrier with nine minutes of the session remaining, posting a 1'04.930 lap. Ellison was second on a 1'05.407 which he set just before the heavens opened.
Rain fell with two minutes left to go in the session which saw Hydrex Honda's Karl Harris, Worx Suzuki's Michael Rutter and HM Plant Honda's Glen Richards all knocked out of the final session.
Rutter had problems with his number one bike and did manage to get a lap in even though he went out just as the rain began to fall. SMT Honda's Jason O'Halloran made it into the top ten knockout for the first time this season. Andrews rescued himself from the chop with a couple of minutes left and finished just behind team-mate Da Costa.

Front row riders comments
Leon Camier – Airwaves Yamaha
“Its good to get pole again, it wasn’t a good condition to be riding in those risky conditions, the right decision was made. If we could have waited longer it may have been ok, everybody needed one good lap and nobody would have backed down. Hopefully if it is dry tomorrow it will make for a great race.”
James Ellison – Airwaves Yamaha
“I wanted to try for pole, but knew it was going to be close and had an idea that Leon [Camier] would pull a point four out of the bag. I need to get a decent start off the line, but like Leon says it is going to be tough, I don’t think anyone will pull away. There are no team orders, but we work together as a team, but in the race it is down to me and him. I will certainly be going for the win.”
Josh Brookes – H M Plant Honda
“Anybody who has been watching the series knows that I have not had a good start to the season. At Thruxton we decided to concentrate of the position of me on the bike rather than things like the suspension as we were not shredding up tyres.
We changed things like moving the bars forward so I am in a more aggressive position, moved the pegs higher. Today is my best grid positon so far, hopefully the weather will be good, I don’t mind the rain but if it is half and half like we’ve just seen that will not be good. If it all goes well, hopefully I will be able to mix in with these guys.”
Stuart Easton – Hydrex Honda
“I am pleased with that, like all the guys said I would not have been keen in going out in the last session. We’ve had to work hard this weekend and think tomorrow we can be there, or there about. I’ll be trying for it, but it is so close.”
