Milwaukee Yamaha's James Ellison made some improvements in pace during today's MCE British Superbike free practice and qualifying sessions at Snetterton, and says corner exit has been the focus of their work.
The Kendal man spent yesterday improving through the first two sectors of the track and now because he feels strong on the brakes, getting out of turns has where the team have been made some headway.
“We have made some improvements and have been just chipping away really. It has been gradual steps but we have been getting there. We have been working on trying to get a better exit out of the corners as we can make up time on the brakes," said Ellison.
"We know the characteristics of the Yamaha and have some more ideas for tomorrow. We just really need to get away with the leading pack and then see if we can try and close the gap again to Alex and Shakey.”
