Mar-Train Yamaha's Jack Kennedy has taken the first British Supersport race win of the weekend at Snetterton today after a hard-fought battle with veteran Glen Richards.

The pair were in a class of their own at the Norfolk track, finishing three seconds ahead of Gearlink Kawasaki's Ben Wilson with Richards' Smith's Triumph team-mate Luke Mossey in fourth and Billy McConnell, also Smiths Triumph, in fifth place.

Kennedy increases his championship lead over Richards and Wilson to 18.5 pointsbut there is another race tomorrow where the affable Aussie will look to turn the tables on the Irishman.

Seton Yamaa's Sam Warren was sixth, Christian Iddon seventh, Cup runners Luke Jones and Glenn Irwin next along with Kev Coghlan rounding out the top ten.
