Australian Josh Hook made his MCE British Superbike debut with the WD-40 team at Snetterton’s two-day test and says he is pleased with the progress he and the team made but would have liked a couple more days’ riding before tackling Knockhill.
The youngster, who is part of Leon Camier’s Andorra Massive, hadn’t seen the Norfolk track before and had to get used to riding without full electronics after his time in World Superbikes but got his times down to a 1’50.994 before heavens opened yesterday.
“I had really good fun. I’d like to have had a couple more days because every session we went faster. Everything is new, the bike, the track and the team, so it takes a bit of getting going but we moved forward and made some progress,” said Hook, speaking to bikesporntnews.com.
“The bike is good, the team have shown skill and knowledge as made a lot of improvements over a short space of time. I haven’t looked at Knockhill yet but I have only heard great things about it.”
