One of Britain’s fastest female racers is hoping to make a return to the track at Oulton Park British Superbikes this weekend.
Former 125GP racer Jenny Tinmouth, who has been out of action so far this season, is due to take part in the British Supersport Cup over the bank holiday - but it all still depends on whether she can come up with the rest of the necessary funding.
She said: "I hopefully should have everything together for Oulton for the Supersport Cup, just finishing getting the bike ready and trying to drag in the money to do it. It is unbelievably more expensive than running the wee 125 and I never had enough to do that!"
Tinmouth was first seen out on a big four-stroke at The Race of the Year in 2007 when she was aboard a Rizla Suzuki GSX-R1000.
