Bikesportnews.com will partner with BR8 Media in 2020 to bring you all the latest news, reports, results and opinions from the British Minibike Championship.
The series has competitors ranging from 8 to 60-years-old in a highly-competitive championship which takes place on tracks such as Three Sisters in Wigan, Teeside Autodrome and Clay Pigeon in Dorchester.
Pitbike racing, as it is also known, is commonly used for off-season training by lots of professional riders like Kyle Ryde, Richard Cooper, Storm Stacey, Michael Laverty and Peter Hickman. Oh, and Valentino Rossi.
The BMB championship in 2020 will also feature the new Ovhale Cup along side its usual 90cc, 140cc, 160cc and Supermini Open classes. Four and two-stroke bikes on show in a family friendly paddock.
This really is a fun and low-cost way of competing in a racing championship. This also gives a direct path into the BSB in 2021 for one lucky rider which is an amazing opportunity arranged by the championship.
BR8 Racing Media will be working with Bikesport News to bring updates from the championship through the 2020 summer season in a hope to encourage more people to come and watch and also give it a go.
The season opener is March 21st and 22nd at Clay Pigeon Raceway so we will keep you up to speed with all the developments, rider interviews, bike details and championship results.
Who are BR8 Media?
Two guys who are looking to spread word and raise the awareness of grassroots racing are Dervan Alleyne and Nathan Smith from BR8 Racing Media. BR8 was set up to cover the British Mini Bike Championships for which they both compete in.
They also do a Podcast called “MEK’ IT TALK” on Spotify and iTunes where they have interviewed the likes of Alex Lowes and Neil Hodgson in recent weeks discussing all things bike racing.
