MotoGP bosses Dorna have this morning released the provisional 2014 MotoGP calendar which confirms the exit of Laguna Seca and the addition of Brazil and Rio Hondo in Argentina.
Spain, unsurprisingly, still gets four rounds while America and Italy still have two each. The European season kicks off on May 4 in Spain after three flyaways with teams returning to America for Indianapolis in August, and then getting back on flights for the season-end rounds, starting with Brasil on September 28. This round is subject to the track being homologated. It also means the last seven races are in nine weekends. Painful.
It is thus:
23 March: Doha, Qatar
13 April: Austin, USA
27 April: Rio Hondo, Argentina
4 May: Jerez, Spain
18 May Le Mans, France
1 June: Mugello, Italy
15 June: Barcelona, Spain
28 June: Assen, Netherlands
13 July: Sachsenring, Germany
10 August: Indianapolis, USA
17 August: Brno, Czech Republic
31 August: Silverstone, Great Britain
14 September: Misano, Italy
21 September: Motorland Aragon, Spain
28 September: Brasilia, Brazil
12 October: Sepang, Malaysia
19 October: Twin-Ring Motegi, Japan
26 October: Phillip Island, Australia
9 November: Valencia, Spain
