Results from the race at the 2026 Moto2 Brazilian Grand Prix in Goiania.

Dani Holgado took victory in the Moto2 race in Brazil, beating Dani Munoz in what turned out to be a race-long battle.

Munoz and Holgado were able to distance themselves from the rest of the field in the second half of the race in Goiania. With three laps to go, Munoz made his move to the front at turn 10, but Holgado responded a few corners later on the run to turn one.

Munoz then posted his slowest lap of the race on the penultimate tour, and he was unable to challenge Holgado on the penultimate lap, leaving the Aspar rider free to take his first win of the season.

Munoz took a career best second ahead of Manuel Gonzalez who beat Alex Escrig to third late on.

Behind, David Alonso finished fifth, beating Izan Guevara and Tony Arbolino in the battle for the final top-five spot.

Collin Veijer, Celestino Vietti, and Ivan Ortola completed the top-10.

Qualifying

Qualifying had been delayed until Sunday morning after the Saturday afternoon schedule was changed in order for track repairs to be made on the start-finish straight where a hole emerged.

When it got underway, Dani Holgado topped Q1, and he carried that form into the second session, taking pole by 0.017 seconds from his teammate, David Alonso. Alex Escrig rounded out the top-three for Forward.

Manuel Gonzalez seemed to have the speed for the front row at least, but could not connect the third sector together so ended up fourth. He'll be joined by Angel Piqueras and Collin Viejer on the second row.

Alonso Lopez was seventh, ahead of Celestino Vietti and Mario Aji on the third row. Tony Arbolino completed the qualifying top-10, and will be joined by Dani Munoz and Ivan Ortola on row four.
