Trackhouse Racing have released a statement following on from Ai Ogura's disqualification from the Argentine Grand Prix.

After the Argentine Grand Prix, it was confirmed that MotoGP Rookie, Ai Ogura, had been disqualified from the 25-lap race.

However, Ogura was stripped of this result as his bike was running a non-homologated ECU software.

Trackhouse Racing's statement:

After the news had broken, Trackhouse Racing released a statement to clarify why Ogura had been disqualified, and why he had non-homologated ECU software.

"A technical error led to the installation of the wrong ECU onto the #79 race bike used for the Grand Prix of Argentina," Trackhouse Racing stated.

"Which the steward's panel deemed an infringement of the homologation rules after the race, and therefore disqualified Ai [Ogura] from the results.

"It is accepted that the error gave no performance advantage to Ai on track as the electronic setting on the bike was correct but loaded Ai's performance was flawless."

With Ogura's disqualification, his teammate, Raul Fernandez, has been promoted into the points. The Spaniard had crossed the line in 16th but has now been classified as finishing in 15th.
