Jorge Martin's road to recovery continues as Aprilia Racing have released a new update on his current condition.
Aprilia Racing have released a new update regarding Jorge Martin's recovery from the latest injury that he sustained at the Japanese Grand Prix.
After returning to action at the Czech Republic Grand Prix, Martin's injury woes appeared to be over for the 2025 MotoGP season. However, at the Japanese Grand Prix, he collided with his teammate, Marco Bezzecchi, and fractured his right clavicle.
Since sustaining the latest fracture, Martin has missed the Indonesian, Australian and Malaysian Grand Prix. It has also been confirmed by Aprilia Racing that the 2024 MotoGP World Champion will miss the Portuguese Grand Prix, which is taking place across the 7th, 8th and 9th of November.
The statement from Aprilia Racing regarding Martin's recovery reads:
"Jorge MartÃn underwent a medical check with Professor Xavier Mir after the surgery that fixed his right clavicular fracture following the accident suffered in Japan.
"The post-operative evolution is progressing as expected, with full recovery of mobility in his right arm, although the fracture has not yet healed completely.
"A further medical check is due in the next few days."
It is currently unknown whether we will see Martin on track again this season, but a week after the Portuguese Grand Prix is the Valencia Grand Prix, and the one-day post-season Test.
The Italian manufacturer will be hoping to have Martin back for the Test, so he can work on helping with the development of the 2026 RS-GP.
Martin will remain with Aprilia for the 2026 MotoGP World Championship, and both parties will be hoping for an injury-free season so the Spaniard can showcase his true ability on the Aprilia RS-GP.
