Britain's Bradley Smith is on the provisional front row for Sunday's Brno MotoGP 125cc race after qualifying fourth in a rain-interrupted session this morning.
The Oxfordshire teenager was sitting in third until rain fell with 20 minutes of timed practice left to run and when the field returned to the track, Smith found himself bumped down to fourth.
Smith said: "I was eager to get back out there after the rain. It was a pity that the conditions of the track were so bad in the afternoon. The
main objective was to get further up the timesheets but it wasn't to be.
"Fourth is OK and as there might be rain again tomorrow, the front row is not too bad. I still have room for improvement and if we work together, we are in good shape for Sunday. "
Reigning world champion Gabor Talmasci is on pole while Scott Redding and Danny Webb, who was up as high as fourth, qualified 16th and 21st respectively.
