Tickets for the 2009 Donington Park Day of Champions will go on sale at 9am Monday, April 6 with several special events already confirmed including the Niall Mackenzie ride-in.
Day of Champions is one of the highlights of the MotoGP season and each year thousands of fans flock to Donington Park to get the chance to see behind the scenes of MotoGP. This year’s event will take place on Thursday July 23.
This year will be the last chance for fans to see inside the paddock at Donington Park before MotoGP moves to Silverstone in 2010.
Riders for Heath are pleased to announce that for the third year in a row ticket prices have been frozen, and with free children’s tickets Day of Champions is the perfect place to take the family during the summer holiday.
Tickets can be purchased from the Riders for Heath website and through the Day of Champions ticket-line on 08702 242 960 between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Former British Superbike Champion, Niall Mackenzie, has confirmed that he will be leading the traditional ride-in to Donington. The ride-in is always a hugely popular start to Day of Champions with participants enjoying breakfast at the Victoria Pub in Coalville before they head to Donington for two parade laps of the famous track.
As always the highlight of the day will be the MotoGP auction. The atmosphere is certain to be electric as the stars of MotoGP appear on the main stage to help raise thousands of pounds for Riders’ lifesaving work in Africa.
More information about Day of Champions will be appearing on the Riders for Health website in the run up to the event.
