Diogo Moreira will move to MotoGP in 2026, but has different offers from Yamaha and Honda.
After two seasons in Moto2, it is being reported that Diogo Moreira will make the step up to MotoGP next season.
The Brazilian rider has spent the last two seasons with the Italtrans Racing Team and has made a real step in the 2025 Moto2 World Championship.
It is now being reported by Sky Sports Italia that Moreira will commit to a MotoGP team for the 2026 season, but is still deciding which route to take.
As it stands, Moreira has offers on the table from Honda and Yamaha, with both Japanese manufacturers wanting to put him in their satellite teams on three-year deals.
However, Honda's deal will supposedly see the Brazilian move into the factory team after a season, and will see him on better pay than his deal with Pramac Racing Yamaha.
The 21-year-old is delaying his decision until the last possible moment, but has reportedly informed Italtrans that he will not remain in Moto2 next season.
If Moreira takes up the option to join Honda, he would take Somkiat Chantra's place in the LCR Honda garage. But if he decides to join Yamaha, he will partner Toprak Razgatlioglu in the Prima Pramac Racing Yamaha squad and replace Miguel Oliveira.
After 13 rounds of the 2025 Moto2 World Championship, Moreira finds himself third in the standings with 153 points to his name and is 35 points behind the Championship leader, Manuel Gonzalez.
So far this season, the Brazilian rider has claimed two race wins at Assen and the Red Bull Ring, and has stood on two further podiums at Silverstone and Aragon.
