Doctors at the Dexeus Institute in Barcelona have confirmed that MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez suffered no nerve damage in his crash at Jerez on Sunday.
The Repsol Honda man underwent surgery to plate a crack in his upper arm this morning and the nerve damage that was feared was not in evidence.
"Marc will take some time to recover but we are happy with how everything has gone," said team boss Alberto Puig.
"Doctor Mir and his team have taken care of the entire situation since the fall and performed a successful operation.
"This gives the Repsol Honda Team a lot of motivation, knowing it went well, but now we have to be patient to see how Marc recovers and to understand when he can return.”
No dates have been given for Marquez return to action but you can bet your last chunk of Dairy Milk it will be Brno.
