Results from the Sprint at the 2026 MotoGP San Marino Grand Prix at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

Marc Marquez took his 21st Sprint win at the Misano MotoGP, taking the holeshot from second on the grid and leading every lap.

Marquez had been one of a few riders - notable others being Jorge Martin and Alex Marquez - to switch late on the grid from the soft-compound rear tyre to the medium.

Despite the harder compound, he was faster early on in the race than Bezzecchi on the soft and quickly opened a gap of around one second to the Italian.

Bezzecchi was able to reduce the deficit to half-a-second on lap eight, but Marquez responded on lap 10, setting the fastest lap of the race. From there, his gap edged out once more towards one second, and Bezzecchi was forced to settle for P2 - still his best Sprint result of the season.

Jorge Martin took third, ahead of Fabio Di Giannantonio, Alex Marquez, Pedro Acosta, Raul Fernandez, Fermin Aldeguer, and Luca Marino who took the final point in ninth. Johann Zarco rounded out the top-10.

Marco Bezzecchi took pole position at the Misano MotoGP and the lap record with it, a 1:29.982 being the first-ever sub-1:30 lap of the Misano World Circuit on a motorcycle.

Marc Marquez pushed for pole but came up two-tenths short, finishing second, while Fermin Aldeguer took third place after coming through Q1.

Fabio Di Giannantonio was fourth despite a late turn four crash, ahead of Jorge Martin and Luca Marini.

Pedro Acosta was seventh-fastest, ahead of Franco Morbidelli and Alex Marquez, the latter crashing twice in Q2, including on his final lap at turn four.

Row four will feature Raul Fernandez, who topped Q1, Johann Zarco, and Pol Espargaro, the only rider in the 1:31s.
