Enea Bastianini is back on two wheels at Mugello

After fracturing his shoulder in the opening round of the season Enea Bastianini is preparing to attempt a second return to MotoGP action this season.

At the opening round of the season in Portimao Bastianini picked up an injury in a crash with Luca Marini. The injury he sustained in that crash has sidelined him ever since due to the long recovery time.

The Italian rider did attempt a return at the Spanish Grand Prix at the start of May. However, the pain was still too much for Bastianini to handle and he was not running at a competitive pace so he pulled out of the event.

Bastianini managed to return to two wheeled action yesterday. The young Italian rider has been out at Mugello on a Ducati Superbike to prepare for the Italian Grand Prix and to test the condition of his shoulder.

With his eyes firmly set on being able to return for his home event in Mugello on June 9-11, the four-time Grand Prix winner will be hoping his physical condition has improved so he can return to Grand Prix racing.
