Franco Morbidelli has reiterated that nothing has yet been signed between himself and Ducati as it looks increasingly likely that he will land at Pramac Racing for the 2024 MotoGP World Championship season.
The Italian is currently without a ride for next season after Yamaha Racing opted against extending his contract in favour of hiring Alex Rins instead.
For a time it seemed Morbidelli could be forced out of MotoGP but after entering the frame at Ducati with Gresini Racing, with Johann Zarco departing Pramac and Marco Bezzecchi turning down the offer of a 2024-spec machine, it has cleared a path for the Italian to assume it instead.

For now, Morbidelli remains coy as to how close he is getting to sealing a deal, but he admits negotiations are in progress.
“It is becoming clearer, for sure. It is no secret that myself and Ducati are in touch and getting closer but nothing is sealed yet, we are working on it and we will see in the future what happens.
“There are a little bit better deals and less better deals in the menu but it’s not decided yet, I have my preference for sure, it is no secret Pramac has a factory spec bike and that is really appealing for a rider.
“I’m focused on racing, it’s really important to get your head in the present and not the future. I am lucky enough to have great people surrounding me and working with me to assure the best future and be as competitive as possible.”
