Fancy taking part in a quiz to test your bike racing knowledge on the main stage at Day of Champions this year? Answer Riders for Health’s question correctly and you could soon be battling it out with some well-known faces from the MotoGP™ paddock.
Riders for Health are offering three Day of Champions ticket holders the chance to appear on the main stage in the famous ‘A Question of Bikes’ quiz. The quiz follows the format of popular television show ‘A Question of Sport’ where teams are tested on sporting trivia with questions and pictures.
The quiz will be hosted again this year by BBC MotoGP colleagues Matt Roberts and Steve Parrish. Matt said: ‘I’m looking forward to being back on stage at Day of Champions again this year. The crowd is always fantastic and it's a great chance for them to get involved with the teams and riders in a really fun way, as well as winning some great prizes! It's one of the highlights of the weekend for me and, best of all, it's in aid of a fantastic cause.’
All you have to do for your chance to win a place on stage is answer the following question:
‘Earlier this year, Cal Crutchlow became the first British MotoGP rider to clinch two consecutive podium finishes (at Le Mans and Mugello) in 26 years. Which British rider achieved the feat before him in 1987?’
The three lucky winners will make up our ‘public team’ taking on teams of MotoGP experts and some famous faces from the paddock for prizes and, more importantly, respect!
If you think you know the answer, please email it to rfh@riders.org with the subject ‘A Question of Bikes competition’ along with your name and a contact telephone number. You have until 5pm Friday 2nd August to enter and the winners will be notified by Monday 12th August.
To take part in the quiz you must be coming to Day of Champions. Tickets for the Entertainment Zone cost just £15, and children 15 and under go free. Order your tickets today at www.silverstone.co.uk or by calling 0844 3750 500.
