Sacked factory Ducati rider Nicky Hayden has not ruled out riding one of the production Demsosedicis that will be available next year but says the most important thing is to have fun while racing.
The 2006 world champion was given his marching orders at the Sachsenring to make way for new blood - possibly Cal Crutchlow - and will now spend the summer break mulling over options and hopefully have a new job at by the Indianapolis round.
"There are some possibilities in MotoGP. I haven't thought about it much this weekend. I have a few options. At first, it sucked, but it's exciting now. I am looking forward to the future and seeing what's next," said Hayden, speaking at Laguna.
"I want to take whatever sounds like the most fun and enjoy riding motorcycles. Of course, if was here that would be great but if there's something that sounds more competitive and more fun in another championship then I am open to it.
"I am open to the production bike. There is more we need to understand. It is a strange situation right now because you don't know these new bikes. It's also strange with the rules with different tyres, fuels. Even in Superbike, the rules are changing next year."
