Toprak Razgatlioglu hopes Nicolo Bulega succeeds in his MotoGP replacement rides as it's 'important for Superbikes'.
This weekend at the Portuguese Grand Prix, Nicolo Bulega will make his MotoGP debut with the Ducati Lenovo Team at the penultimate round of the season.
The Italian rider will be replacing Marc Marquez in the factory Ducati squad, as the 2025 MotoGP World Champion continues to recover from the injuries he sustained on the opening lap of the Indonesian Grand Prix.
Bulega finished second in the 2025 World Superbike Championship for the Aruba.it Racing - Ducati squad. He recently was able to test the Ducati GP25 at Jerez, and impressed many at Ducati before his replacement rides were confirmed.
The Italian's World Superbike title rival from 2024 and 2025, Toprak Razgatlioglu, will make his official MotoGP debut next season with Prima Pramac Racing.
However, the Turkish rider has spoken about Bulega's MotoGP debut and hopes his rival will do well at Portimao and Valencia across the next two weekends.
"It is good for him. His career is improving year by year and he has a very good chance in MotoGP," Razgatlioglu said at EICMA.
"We will see him in the last two races, the Ducati is very strong, and I saw that he did not do badly in the test either. I hope he will have fun riding this weekend and also at Valencia.
"Can he aim for the top ten? I hope so, because he is very strong at Portimao, and I think the Ducati is also doing very well on that track, as well as in general.
"I hope he will do a great job, because it is important for Superbikes."
Razgatlioglu will debut on the Yamaha M1 at the Valencia Test, two days after the MotoGP season finale at the same circuit. However, he will not make his official race debut until the Thai Grand Prix at the start of the 2026 season.
