Jake Dixon has confirmed he will remain in the Moto2 World Championship next season after penning a new agreement with the GasGas Aspar Team for 2024.
Dixon will enter a third consecutive season - his fourth in total including his rookie campaign in 2019 - with the Spanish-based outfit as he bids to become the first British rider to lift the Moto2 World Championship title.
The 2018 British Superbike Championship [BSB] runner-up had been among the riders tipped to graduate to MotoGP next season following a breakthrough campaign that has seen the Kent rider secure a long awaited maiden victory at Assen among his ten career podiums.

However, despite being linked to KTM and more recently Ducati in the premier class, Dixon has instead committed to Moto2 for a sixth year.
“I’ve got my announcement of what I am going to be doing in 2024 and I am happy to announce that I will be staying with the GasGas Aspar Team,” he said in a video on Twitter.
“We’ve had two incredible seasons so far, and this season isn’t finished yet, so I'm really looking forward to it, really looking forward to tackling it.
“We’ve regularly been in the running for podiums and wins and we’re third in the championship at the moment, so I feel like I am in a strong place and the right place.”
In addition to announcing its extension with Dixon, GasGas Aspar confirmed it will stick with the same driver line-up for the 2024 Moto2 season by retaining 2022 Moto3 World Champion Izan Guevara.
“I’m really grateful for the trust GASGAS Aspar Team have placed in me for the last few years. Together we have achieved pretty much everything we were aiming for - Moto3 World championship racing in 2020, the title in 2022 and, now, fighting for what we can in Moto2 and with another goal for 2024.
“My adaptation to the class is going positively and we took our first points in Austria. Step-by-step we are building a base so we will again arrive at the highest level together.”
