Jake Dixon 'went all out' at the Austrian Grand Prix

Gold and Goose

Jake Dixon 'went all out' for another visit to the rostrum two weeks after winning his home Grand Prix.

Jake Dixon once again stood on the podium after the Austrian Grand Prix. This is the fourth time in the last six races that the British rider has visited the rostrum.

After a difficult start to the season with injury Dixon is on a charge to make up ground in the Championship with nine races to go.

Before Qualifying on Saturday Dixon was in 10th place on the time sheets. However, when it mattered Dixon put his CFMOTO Aspar machine sixth on the grid.

In the race, Dixon was stuck behind Sergio Garcia in fifth place. But after passing the Spaniard Dixon began to charge. The #96 quickly caught the leading trio of Celestino Vietti, Alonso Lopez and Aron Canet.

Although a victory seemed out of reach Dixon pushed on for a podium finish, securing third as he crossed the line.

“I’m really happy because I’ve suffered a lot throughout the weekend," Dixon said after the Austrian Grand Prix. "I have to thank my team because if it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t be here.

"In the race, I had to make up a lot of distance with the leaders that I would rather not have had to make up, I was more than two seconds behind. I gave it my all, I went all out until the end.”

With nine Grands Prix remaining in 2024 Dixon lies in seventh in the standings. The British rider is 68 points behind the Championship leader Garcia.
