Jorge Martin will attempt to race at the Valencian Grand Prix

Jorge Martin will travel to Valencia for the 2025 MotoGP season finale, but will have to undergo a medical check on Thursday.

Aprilia Racing has confirmed that Jorge Martin will attempt to compete at the 2025 MotoGP season finale next weekend.

The 2024 MotoGP World Champion will attempt to return this weekend at the Valencian Grand Prix, but he will need to receive clearance from the Medical Team on Thursday.

Martin has been on the sidelines since he suffered a displaced fracture to his right arm at the Japanese Grand Prix, in a collision with his teammate, Marco Bezzecchi, in the Sprint Race.

The Spaniard had a difficult Championship defence as he had only completed six Grands Prix during the 2025 season, and had scored points in four of the six Grands Prix he competed in.

Aprilia say he will travel to Valencia, as they hope to have him ready for the post-season test ahead of the 2026 MotoGP season.

A brief statement from Aprilia Racing said:

"Jorge Martin will travel to Valencia for the Grand Prix of the Valencian Community. The Spanish rider, who has been absent since the Japanese GP due to a displaced fracture of his right collarbone sustained during the sprint race, will still need to undergo evaluation by the FIM Grand Prix World Championship Medical Team in order to receive clearance to race."

It is likely that Martin will have to serve a penalty at the Valencian Grand Prix, if he is declared fit, due to the incident he was involved in at the Japanese Grand Prix.
