It was a Red Bull KTM Ajo 1-2 at the end of Day One at the Czech Republic Grand Prix, with Moto3 rookie Alvaro Carpe leading the way.
On his first visit to the Automotodrom Brno, Alvaro Carpe set the pace in the Friday afternoon Moto3 Practice session for the Red Bull KTM Ajo squad.
Behind the Moto3 rookie was the Moto3 World Championship leader, Jose Antonio Rueda, who ended the opening day in the Czech Republic in second.
In third place was the Moto3 rookie, Maximo Quiles. The Spaniard completed a Spanish 1-2-3 in Practice and had a promising opening day for the CFMoto Aspar Team.
Two more Moto3 rookies followed Quiles on the timesheets; it was Guido Pini from the Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP squad in fourth and Red Bull KTM Tech3 rider, Valentin Perrone, in fifth.
David Munoz ended the day just outside of the top five in sixth place for the Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP squad.
After being down in 21st place in Free Practice One, Joel Kelso was able to make his way up the timesheets in the dry as he ended up in seventh.
Dennis Foggia also had a difficult Free Practice One as he found himself in 23rd, but ended the day inside the Q2 places as he was in eighth.
FRINSA - MT Helmets - MSi rider, Ryusei Yamanaka, ended Practice in ninth place on the KTM.
Completing the top ten was British rider Scott Ogden on the CIP Green Power KTM.
