Moto3 Great Britain, Practice Results | Alvaro Carpe set a new Moto3 lap record, Scott Ogden was in 3rd

Alvaro Carpe set a new Moto3 Lap Record on Friday afternoon at the British Grand Prix, and Scott Ogden ended up in third place.

The final Moto3 session on Friday at the British Grand Prix saw Moto3 rookie, Alvaro Carpe, set a new lap record at the Silverstone Circuit on the Red Bull KTM Ajo machine.

The top Honda rider in the final Moto3 Practice session of the day was David Almansa from the Leopard Racing squad, as he ended the day in second.

British rider, Scott Ogden, had an impressive end to Day One at his home Grand Prix as he was in third place on the timesheets on the CIP Green Power KTM.

Joe Kelso's session ended prematurely, but the Australian rider was able to end up fourth in the Friday afternoon Practice session.

Luca Lunetta was the second Honda rider inside the top ten as the Italian was in fifth place on the SIC58 Squadra Corse machine.

Moto3 World Championship leader, Jose Antonio Rueda, was outside of the top five at the end of Day One, as he ended the day in sixth.

David Munoz solidified his position in Q2 as he managed to jump into the top ten in the latter moments and took seventh place.

Jacob Roulstone ended his day inside the top ten on the Red Bull KTM Tech3 machine as he crossed the line in eighth place.

After missing the morning session due to a penalty, Ryusei Yamanaka showed pace in the afternoon as he ended the session in ninth.

Completing the top ten was Nicola Carraro on the Rivacold Snipers Team Honda.

British riders Eddie O'Shea and Max Cook missed out on the top ten as O'Shea was in 22nd and Cook was in 25th.
