A dramatic Moto3 Grand Prix at Mugello saw Maximo Quiles claim his first Grand Prix victory by only 0.006 seconds.
For the first time in his Grand Prix career, Maximo Quiles is a Moto3 race winner as the 17-year-old claimed victory in the Italian Grand Prix by 0.006 seconds.
Alvaro Carpe fought with his fellow Moto3 rookie to try and convert his pole position to a race win, but the Red Bull KTM Ajo rider crossed the line in second place.
Dennis Foggia returned to a Grand Prix podium for the first time since he won the 2022 Thai Moto3 Grand Prix, the Italian finished in third at home for the CFMoto Aspar Team.
The Moto3 Championship leader, Jose Antonio Rueda, missed out on the podium for the second race in a row as he finished in fourth place.
David Munoz could not take his second Grand Prix win in a row as he finished in fifth place at Mugello for the Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP squad.
The only Honda rider inside the top ten across the line was Taiyo Furusato from the Honda Team Asia squad as the Japanese rider finished in sixth place.
Angel Piqueras' podium drought extends to four races as he has not ventured onto the rostrum since Jerez. The Spaniard could only manage seventh place at Mugello for the FRINSA - MT Helmets - MSi squad.
After starting from the back of the grid due to a penalty, Valentin Perrone was able to fight through the field and was leading the race, but ended up crossing the line in eighth.
Joe Kelso stuck in with the lead group throughout the race, but was unable to challenge for victory as the Australian finished in ninth.
Completing the top ten was the Japanese rider Ryusei Yamanaka, the FRINSA - MT Helmets - MSi rider claimed tenth place at the Italian Grand Prix.
After starting from the front row of the grid Scott Ogden ended up scoring points as he finished in 12th. However, Eddie O'Shea missed out on a points scoring position after being caught up in an incident earlier on in the race.
