Moto3 Malaysia, Practice Results | Red Bull KTM Ajo took control on Friday

It was the Red Bull KTM Ajo squad who dominated the opening day of the Moto3 Malaysian Grand Prix.

At the end of the opening day of the Malaysian Grand Prix, it was the Red Bull KTM Ajo squad who topped the timesheets. Leading the way was the 2025 Moto3 World Champion, Jose Antonio Rueda.

In second place was the 2025 Moto3 Rookie, Alvaro Carpe. The Spanish rookie was 0.035 seconds behind his experienced teammate at the end of Friday.

Brian Uriate continues to replace the injured David Munoz in the Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP squad. The Spaniard ended his opening day at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit in third place.

In fourth place was the FRINSA - MT Helmets - MSi rider, Angel Piqueras. The Spaniard is fighting for second place in the Championship before he moves to Moto2 in 2026.

Rounding out an all-Spanish top five and the top Honda at the end of Friday was the Leopard Racing rider, David Almansa.

Just outside of the top five was the Honda Team Asia rider, Taiyo Furusato. The Japanese rider was 0.131 seconds behind Rueda's best time at the end of the day.

Australian riders featured in seventh and eighth places, as the LEVELUP - MTA rider, Joel Kelso, was in seventh, and the Red Bull KTM Tech3 rider, Jacob Roulstone, was in eighth.

The third Honda rider and top Italian rider at the end of Friday afternoon Practice was the SIC58 Squadra Corse rider, Luca Lunetta.

Completing the top ten was the British rider, Scott Ogden, who was 0.512 seconds behind Rueda on his CIP Green Power KTM.
