Moto3 San Marino, Race Results | Jose Antonio Rueda returned to winning ways at Misano

Jose Antonio Rueda was able to secure his eighth Grand Prix win of the season after a last corner overtake in the San Marino Grand Prix.

For the first time since the Czech Republic Grand Prix, Jose Antonio Rueda returned to the top step of the Moto3 podium for the Red Bull KTM Ajo squad and extended his Championship lead.

Moto3 rookie, Maximo Quiles, lost out on his third victory of the season after being passed at the final corner. However, the Spaniard did secure his seventh podium of the year with a second place at Misano.

Adrian Fernandez ended his podium drought as he finished in third place and featured on the Moto3 podium for the first time since the Argentine Grand Prix in March.

Joel Kelso returned to the top five for the first time since the French Grand Prix as he finished in fourth place for the LEVELUP - MTA squad.

Angel Piqueras extended his run of top-five finishes to seven races in a row as he finished in fifth place at Misano, but lost ground in the Championship after losing to Rueda.

After starting from pole position, Valentin Perrone secured a sixth-place finish for the Red Bull KTM Tech3 squad, but was 0.936 seconds behind Rueda.

David Munoz was in the fight for victory in the early laps, but after a collision with Perrone, he lost ground on the front runners and dropped back to seventh place at the end of the race.

Japanese rider, Ryusei Yamanaka, finished inside the top ten for the FRINSA - MT Helmets - MSi squad as he crossed the line in eighth place.

Moto3 rookie, Guido Pini, finished two races in a row inside the top ten as he crossed the line in ninth place on the Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP machine.

Completing the top ten at the end of the San Marino Moto3 race was the Red Bull KTM Ajo rider, Alvaro Carpe.

British rider, Scott Ogden, missed out on the top ten but scored a point as he finished in 15th place on the CIP Green Power machine. Fellow British riders, Eddie O'Shea and Evan Belford, both failed to finish the race.
