Leopard Honda’s Danny Kent has taken another Moto3 win to extend his lead at the top of the championship to 51 points and becomes the first British rider since Barry Sheene in 1977 to take four Grand Prix wins in a season.
In a brilliantly-tactical last lap, Kent came from sixth to second into turn one after watching the pack jostle to get on the inside and calmly rode around the outside to sit behind Nico Antonelli before diving up to lead at turn two.
Enea Bastianini followed Kent through and the pair immediately pulled a gap on the Italian who also then lost another place Kent’s team-mate Efren Vasquez before they crossed the line.
Kent had just enough pace to stay ahead of Bastianini into the final two corners and crossed the line by just 0.035s. Miguel Oliveira took fifth place and jumps to third in the title chase while Jorge Navarro completed the top six. Scotland’s John McPhee crashed out with 12 laps left.
