MotoGP Catalunya: Martin returns to Moto2 action

Red Bull KTM Ajo's Jorge Martin will be back in Moto2 action again this weekend at the Catalunay MotoGP round after missing two races through a positive Covid19 test.

Martin has now successfully passed the protocols set out by health authorities and series organisers, and the Spaniard faces the Catalan round fully recovered and eager to get back to work with his crew.

In addition, Catalunya Circuit is a favourable track for him and in 2017 he took to the podium there with a third position after starting from pole. Martin is currently fifth in the overall standings, with 79 points.

“I'm very happy to be back again, as it was a few tough weeks for me. I am eager to get back on the bike as having to watch the races from home was difficult," said Martin.

"Now our objective will be different, we have to try to win as many races as possible. When we have completed a few Grands Prix, we'll see where we really are - and if we have a chance to fight for the title.

"I like the track at Barcelona. I am competitive there and I have obtained good results there in the past. I can't wait for tomorrow, to start working and to do my best."
