MOTOGP GERMANY: DAVIES MAY GET RIDE THIS WEEKEND

Britain's Chaz Davies many well be on a plane heading for the Saschenring this afternoon as it is thought that Kawasaki have had a change of heart and will replace John Hopkins for this weekend's MotoGP round in Germany.
Hopkins, who is now recovering from surgery on his leg, is obviously not riding this weekend and will also be absent from the Laguna Seca round. Team boss Michael Bartholemy originally said that he would keep the bike free for Sachsenring.
However, it would appear this is not the case and he is looking at Davies to ride, as well as British-born Jamie Hacking and Roger Lee Hayden. Davies must be favourite, however, as he knows the German track and has MotoGP experience (with D'Antin Ducati) whereas the others don't.
We are expecting an announcement this afternoon.
