PBM CRT's Michael Laverty has used step-by-step improvements to drastically cut his laptime over the course of the Le Mans MotoGP weekend, going from a 1'39.325 in free practice one to a 1'36.565 in qualifying this afternoon.
The Irishman is still trying to get more weight over the front of the GPMS-framed machine but is happy with the way his weekend has gone so far and believes he can lap in the mid 1'36s all day tomorrow if it's dry.
"We have made some good improvements step-by-step, not just in terms of race setup for here but for the bike overall. We have put some more of my weight over the front which is what we needed and we've got faster over the weekend," said Laverty, speaking to bikesportnews. com this evening.
"We haven't yet been able to use the new channel on the Marelli electronics as it needs another upgrade as there is a bug in it and it is interfering with something else, but that will hopefully come soon."
