Lenovo Ducati's Jack Miller is heading for arm-pump surgery early next week after not being able to feel his front brake lever for the last four laps of today's MotoGP in Qatar.
After several clashes with Joan Mir, Miller slipped back to ninth place at the flag but still only finished five seconds behind winner Fabio Quartararo.
"After the Mir incident I was able to push and close the gap but as I did that I just started to suffer. You know, I did some of my best laps, and then I started to suffer with with arm pump so on the right hand side," said Miller, speaking at the track.
"I don't know if it's to do with this track or to do with the wind or what but we need to understand it so we'll probably try to get something sorted this week.
"I don't want to have another race like that. I mean I felt fantastic right up until the last four laps and then I couldn't really feel the front brake lever anymore.
"I've had it in the past and I've had like a different treatment, not so much a surgery but an electronic treatment that broke down the fascia."
