MotoGP bosses have taken a decision to move Sunday’s three races forwards two hours in a bid to avoid the weather preventing any racing from taking place at the Sepang International Circuit.
Rain at the end of MotoGP FP4 caused big crashes to Maverick Vinales, Jordi Torres and Karel Abraham. With rain getting heavier during Q1, the session was red flagged and riders were forced to sit and wait over an hour for track conditions to dry.
With concerns over weather conditions at a similar time tomorrow afternoon, IRTA have taken the swift decision to bring races forwards two hours in a bid to avoid the rain.
The MotoGP race will now start at 13:00 local time (05:00 GMT)
