Marlboro Ducati's Nicky Hayden will not have to undergo surgery on the shoulder he broke in a flat-track crash last week after consulting with legendary bone specialist Dr Ting.
Hayden was riding for the first time since the Valencia crash which saw him break the scaphoid in his right hand. He fell when a slower rider tried to get out his way and lost the front in what he described as a 'freak accident.'
He, like Andrea Dovizioso, faces an uphill battle to be fit for the first MotoGP test at Sepang, which starts on the last day of this month.
