Former MotoGP World Champion Casey Stoner will make a return to two-wheels when he begins a testing programme to help Honda develop the 2014 RC213V MotoGP bike.
The Ausssie, who retired last year and has since begun racing V8 Supercars in his native country, will ride at Twin-Ring Motegi as he misses bikes. He will also help to develop the production bike which will be for sale in coming months.
"It's been almost seven months now since Valencia and I'm still happy and comfortable with the decision I made to stop racing. Sometimes I miss riding my RCV, so I am happy that HRC asked me to do some tests in Motegi this year," said Stoner.
"This will allow me to enjoy what I miss: riding a MotoGP bike! I'm looking forward to getting on the bike and see how it has changed from last year and I'd like to thank Honda for this opportunity."
