After being taken out in the last two Grand Prix, Joan Mir is motivated for the Czech Republic Grand Prix this weekend.
The 2025 MotoGP World Championship has not been an easy season for Joan Mir as he has failed to finish seven of the 11 Grand Prix during the season.
Mir had finally reached a good run of form as he finished the British, Aragon and Italian Grand Prix in 10th, 7th and 11th places.
However, as soon as he found good form, his bad luck returned as he failed to finish the Dutch and German Grand Prix.
In both of the last two races, the factory Honda rider was taken out in an incident with Fermin Aldeguer and Ai Ogura.
This weekend, the MotoGP paddock will return to the Automotodrom Brno, a circuit where Mir has raced twice in the MotoGP class but has failed to finish both races.
Across the five Czech Republic Grand Prix that he has raced in, Mir has finished two races and won one of them.
"Looking ahead to Brno, the first time there in a few years and a bit of a new challenge for us," Mir said.
"It looks like the new surface they have done is very good and offers a lot of grip. A lot has changed in MotoGP since we were last there so we have to see how we as Honda HRC Castrol go there.
"The last weekends haven’t been easy for us but on Sunday I’ve always been able to get something more, even if it hasn’t always ended how we want. This is motivating, it shows we have potential."
At the halfway point of the 2025 MotoGP World Championship, Joan Mir finds himself in 19th in the standings with a best result of seventh place and has 32 points to his name.
