Toprak Razgatlioglu and Phil Marron will reportedly part ways

Gold & Goose

According to new reports, Toprak Razgatlioglu and Phil Marron will part ways at the end of the 2025 World Superbike season.

Ahead of his move from World Superbikes to the MotoGP World Championship, Toprak Razgatlioglu will reportedly have a new crew chief in 2026.

It was initially reported that Razgatlioglu and his long-time crew chief, Phil Marron, would move to MotoGP together. However, in a recent report from GPOne, it has been stated that Marron will, in fact, not follow Razgatlioglu.

Marron has been alongside Razgatlioglu since his early days on a Superbike in the Puccetti Racing - Kawasaki squad. Since then, the Turkish rider and his crew chief have gone on to win two World Superbike Championships together and are on the way to winning a third title together.

According to GPOne, Marron will remain in the World Superbike Championship and will likely remain with BMW for the 2026 season, and will work alongside their new rider, Danilo Petrucci.

It has also been reported by Sky Sports Italia that Yamaha will go in a different direction for Razgatlioglu's first MotoGP crew chief. The Japanese manufacturer will reportedly hire Alberto Giribuola, who has been working with Enea Bastianini throughout the 2025 MotoGP season.

However, Giribuola's relationship with Bastianini was terminated after Bastianini's first Grand Prix podium with Red Bull KTM Tech3 at the Catalan Grand Prix.

Razgatlioglu and Marron still have three World Superbike rounds together, at MotorLand Aragon, Estoril and Jerez. Across these last three rounds, the iconic duo could claim their second title with the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team.
