Three-time World Superbike Champion, Toprak Razgatlioglu, will be on the Yamaha M1 this weekend at MotorLand Aragon.
Toprak Razgatlioglu has confirmed that his time as a MotoGP rider will begin this weekend with a private Yamaha test at Aragon on Sunday and Monday.
The private test, which was reported by GPOne.com, will mark the start of his MotoGP career and his first test on a MotoGP machine since his first test with Yamaha in 2023.
After his two-day test at MotorLand Aragon, Razgatlioglu will head to Valencia and take on the one-day test at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo. During the Valencia Test, he will take to the circuit with his new MotoGP rivals.
However, our colleagues at Crash.net understand that Razgatlioglu may get an extra test as well as his two-day Aragon Test, and one-day Valencia Test. Yamaha is expected to retain the benefits of D concession testing privileges in 2026.
This will allow the Japanese manufacturer to retain private testing days with their contracted factory riders. This will include Fabio Quartararo, Alex Rins, Jack Miller, and Toprak Razgatlioglu.
It is now expected that Razgatlioglu will get a third test on the Yamaha M1 before the MotoGP Testing Ban comes into play on December 1st. The testing ban continues until the Sepang Shakedown, which will take place between the 29th and 31st of January.
The Japanese manufacturer has not confirmed what engine Razgatlioglu will test at MotorLand Aragon, Valencia, and at his third test. They have also not made a public statement regarding whether they will use the V4 or Inline Four engine in 2026.
However, Razgatlioglu will not be able to make any comments regarding his MotoGP tests in 2025, due to his World Superbike contract running with BMW until the 1st of January 2026.
